NEWS & PROJECTS
Edinburgh Jazz Festival 2011
Stewart was honoured and delighted to receive critical acclaim for his alto saxophone work in Ken Peplowski’s Ensemble for the music of West Side Story during the Edinburgh Jazz festival 25th July – 26th July 2011.
Following on from earlier success this year at the Jazz Bar, the Brian Keddie Sextet was reformed and successfully rercreated it’s classic hard bop sound that became so much a part of the Scottish jazz scene in the 1980’s. Originally featuring Jimmy Deuchar, Stewart Forbes and Gordon Cruickshanks in the frontline, the new group features Colin Steele and Stewart.
